Letter to parents from the IFC

Dear Parents,

We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Northeastern University, we wanted to take a moment to extend our warmest greetings and share some important updates regarding the fraternities your children are involved in.

Firstly, we want to express our sincere gratitude for entrusting us with your child's collegiate experience. We understand that their personal growth and academic success are of paramount importance to you, and we are committed to ensuring a safe and enriching environment within our fraternity community. At the IFC, our primary objective is to foster an inclusive and supportive community that promotes personal development, leadership skills, and academic achievement. We continuously strive to create an environment that aligns with Northeastern University's values and philosophy.

We are pleased to inform you that our fraternities are actively engaging in various initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall fraternity experience. Our chapters have been working diligently to implement educational programs centered around mental health, consent, bystander intervention, and substance abuse prevention. We strongly believe that these efforts will contribute to the well-being and safety of all members.

Furthermore, the IFC places great emphasis on promoting community service and philanthropic endeavors. Our fraternities collaborate with local organizations, engage in volunteer work, and raise funds for meaningful causes. We take pride in the positive impact our fraternity chapters are making both within the Northeastern community and the larger Boston area.

Safety remains our top priority. We have implemented comprehensive risk management measures to ensure the well-being of all fraternity members. Regular educational sessions on personal safety and responsible alcohol consumption are just a few examples of the measures in place. We are committed to working closely with our chapters and the University administration to maintain a safe and secure environment.

As your child continues their fraternity journey, we encourage them to take advantage of the many opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and friendship within our fraternity community. We firmly believe that being a part of our fraternities will provide them with a strong support system and invaluable life experiences.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to address any inquiries and ensure that your involvement with the fraternities remains positive and transparent.
